He had not eaten in three days.  His stomach hissed and whistled at him in anger.  The rumblings were deep and loud, steady.  He trolled the beach for small fish in hopes to whet his ravenous appetite.  He went hungry.  Three days and not a morsel touched his lips.  Time passed slowly.  He could wait.  He epitomized patience.  The sea had never failed him in even his most desperate times.  He would keep searching.
